Find What's Lost.

FLIR thermal drone imaging for lost pets, escaped livestock, and downed game. We see heat — through brush, in the dark, across terrain no ground search can cover.

The Technology

How Thermal Imaging Works

Every living animal radiates heat. Our FLIR camera captures that heat as a visible image — no light required.

01

Launch & Grid

We launch the drone and fly a systematic grid pattern over the search area at 150–300 feet altitude, covering up to 100 acres per hour.

02

Detect Heat

The FLIR camera detects temperature differences as small as 30°F. Animals appear as bright white or orange blobs against the cooler background — even through brush and tall grass.

03

GPS Pin & Recover

When we spot a heat signature, we drop a GPS pin and relay the exact coordinates to your ground team in real time. You walk straight to it.

Lost Pet Recovery

A lost dog or cat can cover miles of ground in hours. Our FLIR thermal camera detects body heat through brush, tall grass, and darkness — giving you a real chance at finding your pet when ground searches come up empty.

  • Detects heat signatures through dense vegetation
  • Effective in total darkness — no flashlights needed
  • Covers 50–100 acres per flight hour
  • Real-time video feed shared with search team on the ground
  • Available evenings and early mornings when pets are most active

Livestock Recovery

Escaped or injured livestock can be nearly impossible to locate in wooded terrain or at night. Thermal imaging cuts through the dark and the brush — we can locate cattle, sheep, goats, and horses across large acreage in a single flight.

  • Locate escaped animals across hundreds of acres
  • Identify injured or downed animals that can't move
  • Night flights available for after-dark escapes
  • Works in fog, light rain, and low-visibility conditions
  • GPS coordinates delivered in real time

Game Recovery

A wounded deer can travel hundreds of yards before bedding down. Thermal imaging finds the heat signature of a downed animal in thick cover, at night, or across terrain that's impossible to grid-search on foot — saving your harvest and your time.

  • Locate downed deer, bear, turkey, and other game
  • Effective in thick brush, hollow logs, and creek bottoms
  • Night and low-light flights available
  • Covers large tracts quickly — no more hours of grid searching
  • WV DNR compliant — we do not participate in the hunt

Time Is Critical

A lost pet or downed animal gets harder to find with every passing hour. Body heat dissipates, animals move, and scent trails go cold. Call us now — we can often launch the same day.

Common Questions

FAQ

Q.How far can thermal imaging detect an animal?

Our FLIR camera can detect a heat signature from 200–400 feet altitude, covering a wide swath of ground per pass. In open terrain, a dog or deer-sized animal is detectable from 300+ feet.

Q.Does it work in the rain or fog?

Light rain and fog reduce range slightly but thermal still outperforms visible-light cameras in those conditions. Heavy rain or dense fog will ground the drone for safety.

Q.How quickly can you respond?

For lost pets and livestock emergencies, we aim to respond same-day or next morning. Game recovery is typically scheduled within 24–48 hours of your call.

Q.Is game recovery legal in West Virginia?

Yes — using a drone to locate a downed animal after the hunt is legal in WV. We do not participate in the hunt itself, only in post-shot recovery.

Q.What information do you need to start a search?

Last known location, approximate acreage to search, terrain description (open field, wooded, creek bottom), and the time the animal was last seen. The more detail, the faster we can help.

Q.What is the cost for a thermal search?

Pricing depends on acreage, terrain, and time of day. Call or text us for a quick quote — most searches are priced by the hour with a one-hour minimum.
